Amazing sunsets can be enjoyed on this private property, secluded from the road and protected by the empty lot on one side and offering 230 feet of shoreline.

Enjoy our beautiful large deck overlooking the lake. The cottage is bright and airy offering 8' sliding glass doors throughout and a skylight in the dining room. The Master bedroom has a walkout to a deck overlooking lake.

There is a large open concept well stocked kitchen for entertaining. We provide an additional fridge, chest freezer and microwave in the basement. No need to go to a laundry mat, we have a full size washer and dryer in basement laundry room.

The water in the cottage is safe to drink as we have installed an upgraded UV water filtration system. But should you have any concerns, you are welcome to bring your own bottled water.

Enjoy our large decks featuring UV resistant large umbrellas, Adirondack chairs and a dining set to enjoy outdoor dining.

And to top it all off enjoy our Beachcomber hot tub. Great way to end a day!

We have 4 bedrooms offering 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 1 bunk bed (twins) and there are also 2 queen futons in the loft. (Renters must provide their own linens, personal, bath and beach towels; note the king and queen mattresses are 17" deep).

The loft overlooks the living room and is a great getaway for the children/or for a quiet spot to sit back and read that book you have been wanting to read.

We have 2 firepits and we provide extra wood for your fun filled family evenings roasting marshmallows and enjoying the beautiful star lit sky which is breathtaking on a clear night! And just being together for that very special family time!

We hope you enjoy our large new dock where you can sit lakeside and enjoy the lapping of the water all around you is so relaxing - another world!

The shoreline is rocky and offers a small sandy entry to beach area. There is deep water off the dock. Renters must provide their own lifejackets.

Take a paddle around the lake in the canoe or in the 2 kayaks, mornings are a particularly delightful time for a quiet paddle with the water smooth as glass and the mist rising off the lake and the loons waking up the morning with their special calls echoing through the air.

There is also an aluminum row boat that comes with the cottage. Just be safe and play safe! For your additional enjoyment you'll find inflatable rafts in the cottage under the stairs and there is also a bin near the lake with noodles/pails etc. We only ask that you return anything you use to its place of origin. Thanks!

Our lakeside stone patio has a propane barbecue and Adirondack chairs. There are granite steps down to the lake with solid iron railings for your safety.

Or up at the side of the cottage, enjoy a game of badminton in our northern badminton court or horseshoes!. We've got it all! And you'll enjoy it all !!!

We have lots of parking space and great neighbours on both sides. Please be respective of noise levels.

• June, 2021 - Good morning Carolyn and Happy Canada Day! Hope you are enjoying some sunshine, food and good times with your loved ones. Greg and I wanted to send a note of recommendation for our wonderful stay at the Sunset Sensations Cottage. First, the whole cottage is equipped with every possible appliance and comfort anyone could ever want! Which makes cottaging here a breeze because you don’t have to worry about not having anything you need available at your fingertips. The owners are also incredibly thoughtful in leaving very clear instructions with respect to everything you’d need to know about the cottage (and the hot tub – which is a huge help if you don’t own one!). You can tell this cottage is loved and has been a spot for many special memories. The outdoor landscaping is stunning and perfectly suited to offering you both sun or shade during the day. The dock is a place like no other – it is enormous and holds sun all day long. Plus the sunsets are simply breathtaking. We came back refreshed and sunkissed – just as we’d hoped. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice and using Redstone Rentals now several times gives us a superior customer experience and confidence in our rentals. • We enjoyed Sunset Sensation. It is a very spacious and pleasant cottage. It was very enjoyable to prepare meals in the kitchen and the kids enjoyed having breakfast at the high counter. Suppers were great either in the dining room or on the deck. Those who love TV will be in heaven since three large screen TVs are there,one on each level. The best part was the dock, the kids really enjoyed jumping into the water. I was glad that our grandchildren were already 9 and 11 years old. Younger kids might have had some challenges with the stairs leading down the dock. ( I was also glad that we were not older!!). Overall it was a very comfortable cottage. The weather did not allow us to enjoy too many sunsets, but we saw and enjoyed a few. Thanks again Carolyn to help us finding a great vacation place. Sincerely

• Hi Carolyn and Ted, Thanks for the opportunity to provide you with feedback on our recent rental on Kennisis Lake. As you know, we spent two weeks at this location -and other than the slow start we had due to the storm- we very much enjoyed our time at Sunset Sensations. We loved the lake, the new dock and the work that the owners did on the waterfront and the stone steps and patio. This was truly impressive, but mostly we enjoyed the lake - swimming and some boating. Once we had a few sunny days, the water started to warm and it was by far the best part of any cottage rental! We had our grandkids with us and I can't tell you how many small fish we caught off of the dock. We wanted to rent on Kennisis as we've heard over the years that it is a terrific lake and we were not disappointed. The cottage itself was very well equipped (probably the best ever for cooking utensils, etc.). And, the owner’s notes were also very helpful and well read. We would be interested in renting this location again and will be in touch once we start making plans for 2018. You also asked for feedback on Redstone Rentals and we were completely satisfied with the support that we received from your firm.
