- May, 2022 - Thank you very much for sharing your lovely cottage with us. Even though we came in two separate cars at separate times, both car loads were instantly in awe of your cottage and our first reactions were.... “ let’s rent again next year “. We would love to do that!
We are so grateful as this weekend gave the 7 of us who have been friends for over 35 years a chance to reconnect, relive and create more memories and laugh harder than we have in years. We thoroughly enjoyed the many wonderful amenities that the cottage and surroundings had to offer. Beautiful sunsets, starry skies, the sounds of nature and the views of the lake.
We feel so lucky that you allowed us to rent your cottage and we look forward to coming back next year! Thanks.Christine, Kathleen, Joyceanne, Kris, Moya, Lisa and Millie

Hi Carolyn,
Better late than never! Just wanted to let you know that we had a lovely extended weekend at White Pines (Jones). Beautiful time of year to enjoy and the cottage was fantastic. Much bigger than the cottage I grew up with but it was nice to have the extra room with two families. We are thinking about a weekend rental in the winter and will be in touch. Please pass our thanks along to the owner. Such a beautiful spot!

- We had such a fabulous time at the Jones cottage!! The weather was certainly the coldest we’ve ever experienced!! The other night, with the windchill, it was -42 degrees, however, we stayed cozy and warm inside! Thanks so much! Again - we had such a terrific time - thank you for arranging our stay! We are back home now and back to our routine but missing the Jones cottage already! We had a great time – the cottage was perfect for our family get-together. We were still cleaning up when Julie arrived – she seemed to think that the cottage was in fine shape so we are quite certain that we will not owe you for anything. Please let us know if we do. Thanks.
My husband made a call to the hospital in Haliburton – not sure if this was long distance or not. My Mother-in-Law took a fall as soon as we arrived at the cottage and ended up with a bloody nose. My husband took her to the hospital just to be sure that nothing was broken. Not a great start to our holiday, however, she was fine in the end and enjoyed the rest of the week – sore nose and all. The only other telephone calls we made were to Haliburton Forest & Wolf Center. My daughter and I did the Canopy Tour – was fantastic!!
We enjoyed the fishing – there is a hot spot directly across from the cottage – pedal boat distance – great fun! Over at Drag Lake the residents like to catch as many Rock Bass as possible and throw them away at the dump. Our youngest daughter caught a few and stuck them in the freezer of the beer fridge out of habit – I think they are still there – sorry about this – we were so busy cleaning everything else we forgot to remove them from the freezer.
Thank you – we enjoyed everything about the cottage and the area.Denise
