The main cottage was fully renovated in 2024 and has 6 bedrooms, an office and 1 1/2 bathrooms and can sleep 8. The brand new, fully winterized bunkie has another two bedrooms - one with a set of bunkbeds and the second with a single bed - and an additional bathroom.
The cottage itself has cathedral ceilings and has a dining table that extends to seat 8 comfortably, and a wood burning stove in the main living space. The property is fully furnished and is equipped with everything you need including all cooking utensils and dining needs: coffee maker, kettle, toaster, BBQ, Cable TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Wifi. There is excellent cell service in the cottage as well.
This cottage is on a flat property with a large grass lawn, a sandy beach and a long half-covered, half-open dock for swimming in deeper water and relaxing amidst the tranquil scenery.
A 3-season screened-in porch will make a the perfect environment for your morning cuppa. The cottage dock has perfect exposure and gets sun all day long - plus, you can't beat those pristine sunset views. Eat your BBQ dinner on the large deck overlooking the lake or on the picnic table by the firepit. After the day is done, chill out in the 6-seater hot tub (open year-round!) on the large deck and finish the night making s'mores outside over the fire pit.
In the Summer time, Drag Lake boasts great fishing for bass, perch, musky and pike. Additionally, a canoe and kayak are also available at your disposal. The lake is quiet and serene as it is not on a main throughfare and only part of a two lake chain. For the golfer, there are two beautiful courses in the area.
In the Winter there is skating on the lake, 30 min drive to skiing and the cottage is on the base of the snowmobiling trail.
There is ample parking for multiple vehicles, accessible by a beautiful country road, which is also a great way to get your biking in. The cottage is just a 5-minute drive to the town of Haliburton to access any shopping to may need to do during your stay.
